Application field: Ruthenium on carbon is a catalyst for selective hydrogenation of organic compounds. It is also an updated product to replace Raney Ni in the production of vitamin C by hydrogenation of glucose to sorbitol. It is with high activity, good selectivity, fast reaction speed, and high reaction rate, mild reactions conditions, long service life and easy recycling. In the reaction process of hydrogenation of carboxylic acid and carboxylic ester, the catalytic activity of the ruthenium on carbon is significantly better than that of the traditional copper and nickel catalysts, and the prepared product is with pure color and low impurity content. It is also used for hydrogenation of glucose to produce sorbitol, hydrogenation saturation of aromatic hydrocarbons, hydrogenation of fatty aldehydes to produce fatty alcohols, hydrogenation of aniline to produce cyclohexylamine, hydrogenation of fatty ketones to produce alcohols, hydrogenation of aromatic ketones to produce aromatic alcohols, hydrogenation of amino acids to produce amino alcohols, etc. Application frequency: Depends on the specific reaction (such as reaction temperature, pH of reaction medium, etc.)
